Where Airlock works

Airlock runs on desktop Chrome and Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi, ChromeOS). The in-page lock appears on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. The toolbar popup redactor works for any text you paste, on any site.

It is not available on mobile, on Firefox or Safari, or inside the desktop apps for those assistants. Those are not browser pages an extension can reach. Use the website versions.

Common questions

I clicked Lock it and the text did not change

  1. Reload the extension: open chrome://extensions, find Airlock, click the reload icon.
  2. Refresh the chat tab (the in-page control only loads on a fresh page).
  3. Try again. If a particular site still cannot take the replacement, Airlock will tell you and you can use the toolbar popup instead: paste your draft, lock it, copy it back.

The pill does not appear on a chat site

Refresh the page once after installing or updating. If it still does not show, the site may have changed its layout. Email us the site and we will push a fix. The popup redactor keeps working in the meantime.

Names and organisations are not being locked

Locking names, organisations and places is a Pro feature, powered by a small model that runs on your device. Free locks structured data (emails, phone numbers, cards, secrets and IDs) and flags suspected names so you know they are there. Upgrade to Pro to lock them automatically.

How do I activate Pro?

After your purchase, open the activation page, paste your license key, and click to activate Airlock. Verification happens locally in your browser, so Pro keeps working with no further connection to us.

Can I move my license to another computer?

Yes. A license is for one active device at a time. To move it, open the Airlock popup on the old computer and choose Remove, then activate on the new one. If you no longer have access to the old device, email us your license key and we will release the seat.

Is anything sent to your servers?

No. Airlock holds no network permission and makes no requests of its own. Detection and rehydration run entirely on your device. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Refunds

Pro is a one-time purchase. If it is not right for you, email us within 14 days and we will sort out a refund.
